Where is Kingsway?
Kingsway is located three miles south of the City of Gloucester, next
to the popular, modern suburb of Quedgeley. This sought-after location
lies on the edge of the River Severn, offering waterside eating, drinking and walking just a short
distance away. The area is surrounded by some of the most beautiful
countryside in the UK, with quaint villages and farming communities
neighbouring the site.
Gloucester itself is an important, historic centre, famed for its
mediaeval cathedral and monasteries. The city is currently undergoing
an extensive regeneration initiative which is rapidly taking shape.
This will see, alongside many other schemes, the complete revitalisation
of the docklands area, bringing new retail, leisure, educational and
employment opportunities.
The area has excellent transport links. Junction 12 of the M5 motorway
is just a few minutes drive and the new Gloucester South West Bypass,
will provide a swift link between Kingsway
and the City Centre. An efficient Park and Ride scheme is already in
operation and integral local transport is central to the Kingsway plan.
